Belinda Chattin

Creative Director

Founder of Danceology | Dance Educator | Examiner | Inclusive Arts Advocate

Belinda Chattin is a passionate and highly accomplished dance educator with over 20 years of industry experience. She is dedicated to delivering inclusive, high-quality dance education that nurtures confidence, creativity, and a strong sense of community for dancers of all ages and abilities.

Belinda began dancing at the age of five and was teaching her own classes by 14. She trained extensively in RAD Ballet and CSTD Tap, Jazz, and Theatrical, and went on to teach at a number of respected studios throughout Brisbane.

In 2000, at just 21 years old, Belinda founded Dance Pointe in Brisbane, which she successfully directed for 12 years. During this time, her students achieved exceptional results in APDA examinations—several receiving the highest overall scores across the Asia Pacific region—and earned numerous eisteddfod awards. Many have since progressed to full-time professional training and even opened studios of their own.

In 2014, Belinda was appointed as an examiner with the Asia Pacific Dance Association, a role she proudly continues today. She examines Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Tap, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre across Australia and New Zealand.

Belinda established Danceology on the Gold Coast in 2019, creating a vibrant and inclusive studio that welcomes dancers from recreational to pre-professional levels. Danceology offers a wide range of programs, including Danceability and Cheerability, and under Belinda’s leadership, students continue to excel in APDA examinations and achieve national competition success.

Her passion for inclusive pathways led her to expand Danceology into the All Star competitive arena, coaching teams across multiple styles and launching the Gold Coast’s first Cheerability team in 2024. In the same year, she began judging for major All Star event providers — an exciting extension of her impact in the competitive dance and cheer community.

Alongside her studio work, Belinda is a Teacher Aide at Pacific Pines State High School, supporting students with diverse learning needs. This role further enriches her knowledge of inclusive education and enhances her ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit each individual.

Belinda is certified in Rhythm Works Integrative Dance and Performability, and has facilitated numerous inclusive holiday programs in collaboration with therapy-based services. She is deeply committed to creating adaptive, supportive environments where all dancers feel seen, valued, and capable of success.

She is also a certified Rainbow Yoga instructor with additional qualifications in Chair Yoga and Dance for Parkinson’s. These skills allow her to support students with a wide range of physical and neurological needs, and reflect her belief that movement and mindfulness are powerful tools for emotional wellbeing, self-regulation, and physical development.

In 2025, Belinda was proudly appointed Queensland Dancesport Coordinator for Special Olympics Australia, where she advocates for meaningful, accessible dance opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities across the state.

Belinda is currently studying the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, with the goal of offering nationally recognised vocational dance training and certification to her students in the near future — expanding pathways, opportunities, and professional outcomes for dancers on the Gold Coast and beyond.
