TEACHERS

Belinda has been dancing since the age of 5yrs old, and started assisting in classes at age of 12. By 14 she  was teaching her own classes. 
Belinda has been trained in RAD Ballet, CSTD Tap , Jazz and Theatrical. 
She has taught at numerous dance studios in Brisbane and decided at 21yrs to open her own studio in 2000 called Dance Pointe; In that time she has put students through examinations in Ballet, Jazz  and Hip Hop; Won awards at numerous eisteddfods and received student top achievement awards through the APDA for students with the highest overall score throughout Asia Pacific in their grades. After 11 successful years she decided to sell the studio and move to the Gold Coast for a fresh start with her family.
Belinda became an examiner with the Asia Pacific Dance Association in 2014 and is still currently examining throughout Australia and New Zealand. Belinda Examines Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary and Tap Dance.
Many of her ex students have gone onto full time professional courses and a few have started their own Dance studios. 
She had a passion for teaching students with additional needs, doing a certification with Rhythm Works Integrative Dance and has been working with Therapy and Dance since 2018. Belinda believes that everyone should have the opportunity to dance, that we should be inclusive of our community and learn to adapt our teaching methods to include anyone and everyone.
Belinda has also taught kids Yoga throughout the Gold Coast and is certified instructor with Rainbow Yoga.  She feels that yoga can help with children's health and mental awareness creating a growth mindset.  It is a great tool for calming kids down, particularly those with additional needs.
She recently opened a studio in 2019 on the Gold Coast called Danceology.
